FAQs
Start with a free 30-minute discovery call. We'll learn about your project, answer early questions, and see whether we're a good fit. No pressure or commitment; just an honest conversation about what you're envisioning and where things could go from there.
Every project moves through a discovery call, in-home consultation, proposal, project agreement, pre-construction planning, and then the build. Along the way, we help assemble the right team, which may include a designer, architect, and trusted trade partners.
We work with homeowners in Worthington, Upper Arlington, Dublin, Powell, Westerville, New Albany, Clintonville, and surrounding Columbus-area neighborhoods. If you're nearby and not sure, reach out and we'll let you know.
We're a build-only company, so we focus on construction and partner with trusted designers for design and selections. If you don't have a designer in mind, we love being part of finding the right fit. We match clients to the designer whose style, availability, and approach are best suited to their particular project. Our goal is a team that works well together and works well for you.
Even better. We regularly collaborate with designers and architects and are happy to join an existing team. Our role is to translate the vision clearly into the build, with strong communication from day one.
Every proposal is built around your specific scope. We coordinate with trade partners, review labor and material needs, and account for permitting or planning where required. Building a proposal takes time, and that's intentional. What you receive is a detailed, scope-specific document you can rely on before moving forward.
We build proposals carefully, but remodeling sometimes uncovers things no one can see until work begins, like old wiring, plumbing issues, or structural concerns. When that happens, we explain what we found, walk through your options, and get your approval before moving forward.
James Cooley personally oversees every project. He visits each job site regularly, coordinates with trade partners, and stays involved throughout the build to make sure the work meets the standard you expect.
We know construction is a disruptive time for your household, and one of the most important things we can do is make sure you're never left wondering what's happening in your own home. Every Friday, you'll receive a written update from James. You'll also hear from us proactively whenever a change order comes up or we hit a milestone like passing an inspection. Depending on your designer's scope, bi-weekly touch points with the design team are built in as well.
Selections like tile, cabinetry, fixtures, and hardware should be finalized before construction begins so we can order materials, coordinate trades, and keep the project moving. Your designer typically guides this, and we'll confirm everything is ready before we start. For smaller projects, we're happy to provide guidance to make sure everything is in order before we break ground.
